The Emmy’s are a big event in the celebrity world! I cannot wait to see the looks on the red carpet, but most importantly the dresses that Lauren Conrad is designing for the women handing out awards during the ceremony! While I love Lauren’s line, it is a bit over priced especially for it’s simplicity and fabric. If she is going to do simple pieces, Lauren should spice it up with quality fabric and materials. The thing that I do love about Lauren’s line is that she herself wears her designs and the clothes reflect her personal style. She recently designed they beautiful dress she wore to the Teen Choice Awards. None the less I am excited to see what Lauren can come up with for evening gowns! During my daily search of FREE applications for my iPhone’s 2.0 software upgrade, I came across one of the best applications added to the library. Chanel has created their own application for the iPhone and iPod Touch to keep fashionistas up to date with everything Chanel! The application allows users to browse Chanel’s current collection, read up on Chanel news, Find a local Chanel retailer, and much more. To get this great application, as of today the Chanel app is in the featured section through the app store on your device or iTunes for free!
In other mobile Chanel news, a few months ago designer Fred de Garilhe created the Chanel Choco Phone. From what I have read, Chanel rejected the design of the Choco phone, which I thought was absolutely fabulous but if there is a phone in the works for Chanel, I am anxious to see it! Click Here to view the initial design of the Choco Phone.

I’ve been on a bit of a break lately, but during my search today I found two very similar items at very different prices! This proves the theory of if you like it, put it on hold until you have checked for the item in every place possible! You can even buy the item and leave the tags on until you have finished your search.
On the left is the Lipsy Placement Print Sequin Dress which can be found online at ASOS retailing at $108.15. Click Here to buy online. The dress on the right is the Sarafin Floral Babydoll Dress with matching belt included, retailing at $22.80! Sequin and Silk play a role as to why the Lipsy Placement Print Sequin Dress is more expensive, but the Forever21 dress can easily become a Do It Yourself project with black sequin or rhinestones from your local fabric/craft store. Just a couple weeks ago we were all color blocking our clothes but now the new trend is to break out of the box and let your colors run! Prada has brought back a modern style of tie dying also known as Dip Dye or Ombre. Dip Dye still give you the illusion of tie dye, while Ombre is more of a gradient style of colors blending into each other. I noticed this trend about a week ago but held off on posting it until I saw a segment on the Today show about Dip Dying yourself! As their style expert explained, dip dying yourself is great for using colors to accentuate your assets and cover your flaws.
Get the look Forless if you would like to buy the look instead with the Chiffon Tube Dress in blended colors green, white, and pink from Wet Seal retailing at $22.50! Click Here to buy online. Also try the Dip Dye Sun Dress from Top Shop! Click Here for prices and to buy online.
Plus Size Pleasure - The featured dress on the left is the Berry Purple Ombre V-Neck Banded Bottom Knit Dress from Torrid retailing at $58! This dress gives you the trend in a flattering way for us curvy girls! Click Here to buy online.
Express has this great Ombre bag in gray, red, and purple ombre styles. The bag retails at $55 but when I picked mine up during their summer sale (which is still in effect!) the bag was on sale for $19.50! Hurry before they are gone!
The shoe shown above is the Prada Satin Banded shoe which started the Ombre trend. Get the Look Forless with the previous post by Clicking Here!
If you would like to dip dye or ombre yourself, pick an item that you love in white or another light color to start. You will need dye, rubber bands, water, tubs for dying, and remover for mistakes. The best thing to do is to purchase a tie dye kit from your local craft store, Walmart, Kmart or Target. Your possibilities are endless. Have fun and Happy Dying!

Going through my daily searches, I knew I had seen the Miu Miu Striped Dirndl Dress some where and then I remembered Danity Kane! The dresses go great with their doll house theme while on tour but I believe the ones they are wearing are either Miu Miu inspired or altered because you can see in the larger version of this picture that the back of Shannon’s dress has snap fixtures for quick changes. Daisy Lowe also wore the Miu Miu Striped Dirndl Dress for a premiere of Sex and The City. Miu Miu which is a branch of Prada created many of these lovely baby dresses in their Spring Summer 2008 collection.
Get the look Forless with the Cap Sleeve Stripe Skirt Mini Dress from ASOS. They used Daisy Lowe as their inspiration for creating this dress. You can always count on ASOS to create a close to perfect match when it comes to expensive items and celebrity looks. Their dress currently retails at $82.19! Click Here to buy online!
